Park City Fly Fishing Report

March 29, 2021 by Park City Fly Fishing Guides Leave a Comment

Location | Middle Section of the Provo River

Flows | 145.37 cfs at Jordanelle

Fishing | Good

Hatches | Midge and Baetis

Time of Day | 9-3pm

Flies | Midges #20-#24, Emergers and Thread Body Larvae. Baetis #20-#22, WD-40, Pheaseant Tails etc.

Tippet | 6x

Techniques | Nymphing in the morning. Dry Flies in the afternoon.

The river conditions haven’t changed much since last report. Flows are consistent, however with higher temps on the horizon I would expect a bump sometime soon. Saw a few Baetis popping on a sunny day yesterday. If we get a cloudy day it could really happen. Fish are healthy and getting more active and moving around in the water column a little more. Had some success with a light rig and soft hackles in the tail outs yesterday.
